JJ&D will join teXtmoVes for the second time to present Bodyspeaking at the Cotuit Library on Cape Cod. This multidisciplinary performance will be free and open to the public, taking place on the Library's front lawn.

Residency 3s Art Space, Portsmouth

Jessie Jeanne & Dancers (JJ&D) will participate in a two-week residency at 3s Art Space, during which time JJ&D will hold its first Summer Immersion Project. 


Students will join the main company in daily classes, rehearsals, and afternoon showings that will be open to the public. This residency's focus will be on process, and inviting the public into the creative process. Rather than having a public performance at the end of the residency, JJ&D will open its doors to welcome the public into rehearsals from 12-3pm. This model of practice allows audience to gain a deeper sense of what goes into creating performance work.

Third Life Choreographer Series

Jessie Jeanne & Dancers performs in the Third Life Choreographer Series.

The Third Life Studio Choreographer Series is an informal performance. The Series gives Boston area choreographers a venue to try out new work in an informal setting or to show more developed work. The intimate setting of Third Life Studios creates an opportunity for busy dance artists to see one each others work, to network and for audience members to see and meet established artist and up and coming dancers and choreographers they might not otherwise be exposed to. The Series has presented over 60 Boston dance groups and choreographers from NYC, Vermont, Philadelphia and CT.

Fertile Ground Showcase

@Galatea Fine Arts presents teXtmoVes (Karen Klein and collaborators) and Jessie Jeanne & Dancers (with Sarah Anne Stinnett) in an afternoon closing reception and performance. Works performed in the gallery space will incorporate dance, movement, poetry, and spoken word. All three rooms of the gallery will be filled with art, so there will be plenty for folks to come and see! Light refreshments will be served.

Come and enjoy a fun night of performances from various disciplines. An open floor of dance, music, visual arts, theatre, etc. Basically anything goes, so come in and out or make an evening of it.
There will be snacks to enjoy, a low-key atmosphere, and a chance to talk to the artists.
